A native of Des Moines, Scott Davis started musical life as a trumpet player but quickly added bass, harmonica, electronic trumpet and a little keyboards. His taste is as eclectic: past performances with the Des Moines Symphony and Des Moines Symphony Brass Quintet, shows at the convention center backing up the Temptations; pit orchestra work with the Des Moines Community Playhouse; and musical cofounder of the variety band “FreeStyle” and it’s alter ego, “Greasefire”. A middle school band director at Goodrell Middle School on the east side during daylight hours, Scott has three sons who hit each other a lot and likes to read, listen to music and have an occasional Jack Daniels.
